Plot Synopsis

A dedicated doctor and her colleagues at the Centers for Disease Control race against time to stop the spread of a deadly flu virus. They must find and stop an infected Guatemalan woman who has left her quarantined village and is heading for the U.S. to see her boyfriend. The doctor's research uncovers the possibility that the same flu strain may still be in the bodies of Russian miners who were buried in Siberia during the 1918 flu pandemic. But even if the flu strain is found, no one knows if a vaccine can be created in time to stop the catastrophic epidemic.
