Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Abigail Jones and Marissa Miley. At a prestigious New England prep school, Emily, a scholarship student and the editor of the school newspaper, struggles with the daily stresses of high school and adolescence: fitting in, getting into the right college and trying to find love. In order to gain popularity points with the boys, many of the girls engage in sexual behavior. Emily discovers five senior members of the lacrosse team made a sex tape with a classmate and she decides to leak the tape on the internet. When the tape goes viral, it rocks the community and makes national headlines. Involved in the scandal is a U.S. Senator's son who tries to bribe a less affluent student to take the blame in return for money. Eventually the truth is revealed, leading the elite school to expel multiple students.
