Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Elmore Leonard. A sports bookie who has been secretly skimming off his mobster boss plans to retire to the Italian Riviera. When the feds target the mafia kingpin during an assault on organized crime they set up the gruff bookmaker as the fall guy. The feds pressure him into testifying, assigning a U.S. Marshall to protect him. He flees to Italy where he is pursued by the determined law man as well as mob hit men.
