Plot Synopsis

Second installment of the network's newest mystery movie franchise "Emma Fielding Mysteries" based on the series of novels by famed historical archeologist turned fiction writer Dana Cameron. Emma Fielding is asked by an old colleague to consult on the old Chandler Castle for the state Historical Trust, which will soon acquire it. She doesn't trust the archaeologist currently working there and wants Emma to shadow the man, Professor Thomas Webster. Upon arrival at Chandler Castle, Emma learns that a number of valuable artifacts have gone missing from the estate and calls on her old friend, FBI agent Jim Conner, to stop by and weigh in on it since he has handled numerous cases involving such theft. They discover a sealed chamber in the bowels of the castle, with an opening through which they find the dead body of Webster. But who killed Webster, and why? Assisted by a pair of clever graduate students, Emma searches for clues to the man's murder, and soon discovers what appear to be the remnants of a witch's workshop. And fueled by local legend of a curse on the house and family, Emma and Conner assemble a rather lengthy roster of potential killers. Using her archaeological expertise to sort through clues and reassemble the pieces of a murder plot, she ultimately zeroes in on the one person with the motive, the means and the opportunity, but not before a showdown with the killer places her own life in the danger.
