Plot Synopsis
In 1846, the Reed family from Illinois leave the comforts of their ranch to head west on the Oregon Trail. While overcoming wild animals and rough terrain they are put to their greatest test when they are stranded in the Sierra Mountains during a crippling blizzard. Alone and facing starvation they are forced to make some hard choices in order to survive.
