Plot Synopsis
Based on a short story by Truman Capote. In 1930, an eight year old Alabama boy is sent off by his aunt to spend the holidays with his scalawag father in New Orleans. Never having met his father, he soon learns that his dad is a con man and a liar who is trying to swindle money out of a wealthy socialite. Eventually father and son are forced to confront long held resentments and face the truth about themselves. Together they find love and trust.
