Plot Synopsis

As Halloween approaches in Seattle, Poppy Summerall, a free-spirited young woman who's afraid of commitment, goes through a series of failed attempts at romance and career success. Prompted by her sister, Megan, she applies for a position as a nanny. Ryan Larson, a career-driven single dad, whose two young children, Zoe and Zach, resent their having to take a backseat to his business affairs, hires her. Ryan is immersed in preparations to launch his latest venture at a major business presentation on Halloween night. After a challenging first day as Zoe and Zach's nanny, she informs Ryan she is going to quit. Ryan encourages her to stay on as a temporary nanny through Halloween. She agrees and starts bonding with the kids and soon discovers that she and Ryan share an undeniable chemistry. As things progress, she begins wondering whether to run or finally give commitment a chance.
