Plot Synopsis

After the death of her policeman husband, the mother of a teenage son turns to alcohol to numb her grief. The burden of running the household falls on the young man who dutifully cares for his mother until he finds out that his girlfriend is pregnant. He confronts his mother and forces her to clean up her act. She joins AA and begins a new romantic relationship with an old friend of her late husbands.
