Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Rita Mae Brown. A Virginia postmistress tries to find out whether her handsome new neighbor bumped off a local businessman. She has help from her archly suspicious cat Mrs. Murphy and her constantly hungry dog Tucker. Her pets, who communicate with each other, have their way of guiding her in the right direction until she is able to solve the crime.
