Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Ella Leffland. A widow agrees to look after her late husband's stepfather. Her unorthodox nurturing revives the cantankerous stroke victim. It is revealed that, many years ago, they once had a heartbreaking relationship while he was a married man. As he becomes stronger, her internal battle of love and rage manifests into a bizarre attempt to force the old man to relive the past.
