Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel " A Lantern in Her Hand" by Bess Streeter Aldrich. In post Civil War Iowa a young woman runs off with her boyfriend to the wilderness of the Nebraska Territory. They marry, and over the course of many years she and her growing brood farm the new land, battle the elements and settle familial discord.
