Billie Blessings is excited about having former server at Blessings, Katie Sanders, now the star of TV show "Kelso's Law,"as her morning show co-host for the week. The series based on the real-life cases of attorney Hannah Kelso, as told in the series of best-selling books written by her son, Derek. But Hannah Kelso is not happy that her son and Katie have taken a liking to one another and tells her PI that she wants the "gold digger" off the show and away from her son. Billie goes to Hannah's lakeside house to talk with her about Katie and discovers the dead body of the private investigator. Now Billie and her police detective friend Ian Jackson find their friendship blossoming into something more while in the middle of a murder investigation. Billie learns the dead man was blackmailing Katie and is compelled to find the killer to prove her friend's innocence.
