Plot Synopsis

Widow Carmen Vega, matriarch of a large Latino family, has made it her mission, along with her two best friends, Marisol and Valeria, to butt into her two adult daughters' romantic relationships -- from secretly leaving baby books out for recently wed daughter Yolanda and her husband Rico to manipulating youngest daughter Ally into a doomed date with Marisol's son Pablo. Carmen seems happier to intrude on her daughters' love lives than start one of her own, but Yolanda and Ally are tired of their mother's meddling and start scheming to set her up with Luis, a handsome ballroom dance teacher, whose crush on Carmen is no secret. Just as her family believes Carmen's finally got a life of her own, she proves her nosy habits aren't easily broken when she accidentally gets Ally's new boyfriend, Ben, in trouble with his strict boss. Suddenly, all the Vega women's relationships are on the line.
