Plot Synopsis

Julia Palmer is a professional matchmaker at Ideally Suited Matchmakers in Portland, Oregon and has two weeks to plan the upcoming annual Valentine's Day party for their single clients. Her co-workers read an article about a newcomer to town, the handsome entrepreneur Daniel, also known as "Mr. Stay Single" - who just opened a pet adoption center nearby. Finding a match for Daniel would mean big publicity and be an impressive feather in Julia's cap. Not to mention showing she's ready take the reins at the firm while Elizabeth the owner, takes a vacation and eventually, when she retires. While working with Daniel, who reluctantly agrees to be matched, she begins to develop feelings for him. Because he's a client, however, she must stay professional and suppress them. At their annual Valentine's Day party, Daniel attends with a matched date and Julia struggles to show excitement as she's secretly retaken the compatibility test with a 100% match with him. As couples dance together, Julia longs to take her own advice to not put off being happy when she receives an unforeseen career proposition and Daniel approaches her with a surprising and unexpected admission.
