Plot Synopsis
Homemaker Carolyn McCarthy's world was ripped apart on Dec. 7, 1993 when her husband is killed and her son, Kevin is seriously wounded by a deranged gunman who opened fire on a commuter train. While nursing her son back to health she becomes an outspoken media personality and a crusader for assault weapon control. She ultimately runs for congress, becoming a representative of NY 4th district.
