Plot Synopsis

A rental reservation mix-up becomes a vacation disaster when free-spirited Lara Haley and her faithful but rambunctious dog Frank, are forced to cohabitate with the buttoned-down Spencer Hodkins and his finicky feline, Mozart, for two full weeks. Lara is there to relax and try to figure out where she wants life to take her next. Spencer needs peace and quiet in order to bang out the thesis that has been eluding him. Upon discovering that there are no more accommodations in the lakeside resort town, they agree to coexist with their pets. From the very start, the pets are obvious enemies and their owners feel it's the other person's pet that is the problem. Like oil and water, Lara and Spencer are polar opposites. And the more they seem to demonstrate over and over that they have nothing in common, the more they become attracted to one another.
In between their constant bickering, disagreeing and general getting on each others nerves, they find moments in which they can really be themselves with one another and, shortly after Frank and Mozart share a truce, Lara and Spencer follow suit. The foursome finish out the two-week rental on good terms, each going back to their own lives, but it isn't long before they all find their way back to each other.
