Plot Synopsis
A black prison guard forms a tenuous relationship with a violent, white inmate sentenced to death row. Offering the man some kindness from the abusive treatment dished out by the warden, the convict experiences his first sense of humanity and friendship which helps him come to terms with his destiny.
