Plot Synopsis

A nurse returns to her California hometown to care for her sick, abusive, alcoholic father. She soon finds that her family and friends have undergone a strange personality change... dad is healthy and lovable, a benevolent neighbor is now cold and distant. She eventually discovers that the town's lake has developed strange powers, wherein lies ''the vortex that connects this world with its mirror image and those that go into the water are exchanged with a human on the other side. Residents are being sent to the lake by the town's sinister mayor.
