Plot Synopsis

Based on the classic 1864 science fiction novel by Jules Verne . In the late 1800s a noted anthropologist is hired by a wealthy socialite to lead a risky expedition to help her find her missing husband who vanished four long years ago on an expedition of his own. Along with his journalist nephew and her husband's former partner they retrace her husband's last known tracks to a mysterious passage in Alaska, rumored to be the secret gateway to the very center of the Earth. They soon descend into a prehistoric civilization with warring tribes and underworld predators. The explorers must fight for their lives in order to return home.
