Plot Synopsis

In 1982 South Africa, a white, idealistic university professor from a prominent family is accused of conspiring to subvert the country's racist regime. He is taken to prison, interrogated and tortured. Under the harsh conditions of his solitary confinement and the continued mental torture by the commanding Colonel, he soon loses his will to survive and commits suicide. Ten years later, after Apartheid is abolished, the Colonel is brought up on charges of human rights violations.
