Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''Love and War in the Apennies'' by Eric Newby. During WWll a British commando is captured by the Italian army and imprisoned in a small town under minimum security. He is freed when Italy quits the war but is soon hunted by German soldiers while hiding in a mountain refuge. Along the way he falls in love with an Italian beauty who eventually risks her life to save him from the Germans.
