Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Dr. Jerri Nielsen with Maryanne Vollers. In 1999, Dr. Jerri Nielsen goes to the South Pole to be the only physician at an isolated research station. When she develops breast cancer the aloof and guarded doctor must draw on her inner strength and the help of her co-workers to treat her illness for several months--before weather conditions permitted her to be rescued.
