Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel "The Christmas Wish" by Barbara Ankrum. During the week leading up to Christmas, Peyton Canaday, who is charged with planning the big annual Christmas Eve party at her family's inn, is unexpectedly drafted to assist her former crush, Dr. Ben Tyler in helping a mutual friend's daughter carry out her late mother's wish. Together, they must create a magical Christmas inspired by the girl's beautiful memories. In order to make this work, however, Peyton must put aside the hurt she experienced from Ben's rejection 10 years prior. Spending so much time with Peyton again, Ben once again develops feelings for her, and it becomes apparent to both of them that they share a special bond. As Peyton finally discovers the inspiration she needs to make the big Christmas Eve party the best one ever, Ben faces his own internal struggle, the one that forced him to run away from Peyton a decade earlier. This time, he won't make the same mistake twice and confesses his love to Peyton and asks her to join him in Honduras where he will work as part of an international health care team. Before he reaches the airport, however, the same sign that brought Peyton and Ben back into each other's lives again appears right before his eyes and tells him everything he needs to know about his destiny. Now, all he has to do is convince Peyton that he will do whatever it takes to spend the rest of their lives together.
