Plot Synopsis

In this musical sequel to"High School Musical" the kids are out of East High School for summer and making plans for a fun vacation. Scheming drama queen Sharpay Evans gets "Wildcats" hoops star Troy Bolton a job at her dad's posh country club and a chance at a college basketball scholarship, forcing him to turn his back on his friends and pair up with her in a musical extravaganza for the club's annual Midsummer Night's talent show. He soon lands jobs at the club for his girlfriend Gabriella, as well as his teammates. But when Sharpay manipulates him into abandoning his buddies he must eventually decide where his loyalties truly lie.
