Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Lynn Austin. During the Great Depression, a young widow and mother of two struggles to make ends meet on the family farm. While bringing in the orange crop a fatal heat attack kills her father-in-law leaving the family in financial jeopardy. When a stranger appears at her doorstep, she guesses he just hobo looking for a hand out. But the familiarity and determination with which he tends to the orchard raises unanswered questions. With the help and support of her Aunt, she learns to trust and understand the enigmatic young man.
