Plot Synopsis
Based on the novels by Suzi Weinert and the ninth installment in the "Garage Sale Mystery" TV movie franchise. Garage sale shopper extraordinaire Jennifer Shannon meets with her client Bill Wallace whose passion for medieval warfare includes a friendly sword-fighting group that meets regularly to spar. He wants Jennifer to locate a chair to compliment a 17th Century replica at his house. After discovering an old suit of armor at an estate sale, she buys it for him, who eagerly adds it to his collection. However, when Emma, the student assistant of Medieval Studies Professor Robert McNary, tells him about the armor she saw while browsing the same sale, he shows up at Rags to Riches hoping to purchase it. He leaves disappointed when Jennifer tells him it is no longer available. While admiring the suit of armor during her next visit to Wallace's, Jennifer makes the shocking discovery that there is a dead body concealed within. When the body is identified as that of Professor McNary, Jennifer is too intrigued to leave the investigation completely up to trusty Detective Lynwood and her appetite for sleuthing kicks into high gear. As Lynwood officially investigates, Jennifer uses her intuition to seek out clues as to who could be behind the grisly murder of the professor. After determining that the suit of armor was authentic and worth tens of thousands of dollars, it becomes clear why McNary was in Wallace's house to steal it. But just who might have followed him there and what their reason for offing him might be remains a mystery until Jennifer pieces together the puzzle and ultimately finds herself facing the wrong end of a sword for her trouble.
