Plot Synopsis

Based on the novels by Suzi Weinert and the twelfth installment in the "Garage Sale Mystery" TV movie franchise. Garage sale shopper extraordinaire Jennifer Shannon and her resale business partner have agreed to be the subjects of a new reality show where Jennifer comes in contact with a mysterious puzzle box that belonged to Elizabeth Andronicus, the matriarch of a powerful local family of real estate developers whose latest project is unpopular with many people in town. The deceased woman's daughter-in-law Tamara, who wants to know its contents, brought in the puzzle box. When the box goes missing while in Jenn'a care, she goes to the Andronicus estate to tell Tamara the troubling news, and discovers Tamara's lifeless body at the foot of the same stairs, which Mrs. Andronicus had "fallen" a few days earlier. Her curiosity piqued, she embarks on her own unorthodox investigation of the murders. She begins digging for clues, which she willingly shares with Detective Lynwood, who by now has come to expect her "off-the-record" investigation style. The set of the reality show provides another potential suspect, as the show's jittery producer reveals a past gambling connection to the Andronicus family, and he was the last person seen with the box before it went missing. Jenn knows the killer or killers are right in front of her, but it is only when she is able to unravel the code to the puzzle box that she really homes in on her target. However, she might be too late in making her discovery, a fact she learns when she finds herself facing the wrong end of a loaded gun.
