Plot Synopsis

A scientific research station in the Arctic Circle is home to a team of university climatologists studying global warming and polar melting. While conducting their research, one of the scientists makes a startling discovery -- the sonar signature of an artificial object, possibly a ship, over 200 feet below them within the ice floe. A salvage team is immediately sent in to drill a hole into the ice and begin the reclamation process, which could take weeks. The salvage team leader shares his theory and hope with the scientists and staff - that the object they've discovered is in fact a historic ship, maybe the HMS Fury, mysteriously lost nearly 200 years earlier during the first expeditions to the North Pole. What the salvage team doesn't realize, however, is that they're on the verge of unwittingly freeing a long frozen monster. It isn't long before the dying begins, as the creature's reign of terror begins anew. Ultimately the team leader finds the ship's long lost journal on board the Fury and realizes what he must do -- send the creature to a permanent water grave, even if it means sentencing himself to an icy prison, as well.
