Plot Synopsis
At age 23, Chicago gang member Greg Yance, is convicted of selling drugs and sentenced to 5 years. However, as a first-time felon, he is allowed to trade is prison term for 4 months in a Marine-stye prison boot camp program. His participitation in efforts to save a small town from flooding gives him a sense of worth that he tires to maintain after returning to the streets. Because of his conviction he is rejected from jobs but his perseverance eventually pays off-- he finds not only a job but his own humanity.
