Plot Synopsis
Based on the book "Life is Not a Fairy Tale" by Fantasia Barrino. Follows the journey of Fantasia Barrino, a poor high school dropout and teenage single mother, who decides to rethink her choices and redirect her life. Using her natural talent for singing she takes a chance and auditions for the hit TV show, "American Idol" and quickly becomes an audience favorite although some question her as a role model. Her powerful performances make her a overnight sensation as she wins season three of the competition-- finally fulfilling her dream and forever changing her life.
