Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Nancy Grace. Hard-driving Atlanta Assistant District Attorney Hailey Dean has no fear going head-to-head with some of Atlanta's most vicious felons. With her friend, Detective Garlan Fincher, she works tirelessly to secure the conviction of serial killer Clinton Burrell Cruise. The case becomes personal for her when she is attacked by Cruise in open court. Still recovering physically and mentally from Cruise's attempt to strangle her, she moves to New York and begins a new career as a therapist. Having pursued a degree in therapy before becoming a lawyer, she resumes her training and soon begins seeing clients. But when her clients start to turn up dead one by one -- with the murderer using the same patterns as Cruise, the Atlanta serial killer she put behind bars -- she is forced back into the dark world she left behind in Atlanta. She calls upon her old pal, Fincher, to help her catch the cold-blooded killer who could very well make her his next target.
