Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Anne Tyler. A disillusioned, sheltered housewife goes to the bank to make a withdrawal to finance a quiet escape from her boorish husband. She is taken hostage by a young, fumbling robber who needs the money for a new life for himself and his pregnant girlfriend. The two misfits find themselves on the lam from the cops and soon discover a unique bond that alters their lives forever.
