Plot Synopsis

A married, philandering Baltimore cop becomes involved with a naive teenager who becomes pregnant by him. When she sues him for child support and starts dating a fellow officer, his charm turns to jealous rage and the young woman is found murdered. He is arrested and stands trial-- although he tries to manipulate his resentful stepson and his long suffering wife, they remarkably stand by him. He is ultimately found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
