Plot Synopsis
In Seattle, a charismatic architect repeatedly beats up on his helpless wife. She eventually moves to a shelter for battered women and files charges--only to be terrorized by him from a distance. Hoping to build a new life, she takes an apartment with another abused woman but must come out from hiding when she witnesses the murder of her roommate by the woman's violent husband.
