Plot Synopsis

With Christmas approaching, Allie Foster, a struggling New York artist, has just lost her job as a hotel maid. She reluctantly accepts a temp gig as the governess to a young girl who is part of a powerful family in Europe that lives in an actual castle. After arriving, she learns the girl is named Princess Theodora, daughter of Maximillian, the handsome King of Winshire. The petulant child has a tendency to terrorize authority figures, a predilection that has grown worse since her mother's death. She has gone through governesses faster then her father can hire them. When Allie forms an unlikely bond with the princess, she attracts the attention Maximillian, who's facing an arranged marriage against his heart's wishes. However, Countess Celia is expecting to wed the King. As Christmas Eve draws near, and an undeniable chemistry develops between Allie and the king, Allie finds herself a long way from home and swept up in romance, royalty and the spirit of the holidays.
