Plot Synopsis

In 1998, the beloved wife and daughter of Bruce Murakami are killed in a car crash. He eventually discovers that they were the innocent victims of a 17 year-old street racer and starts a campaign to bring the young man to justice. But when the case is finally heard in court, his powerful desire for revenge is suddenly replaced by an equally powerful desire to transform his tragic loss into something positive. Over the initial objections of his sons, Murakami forges an unlikely alliance with the teen and together they begin speaking at high school assemblies, delivering a powerful message that's impossible for their young audience to ignore: drive responsibly, or what happened to us could happen to you.
