Plot Synopsis

A divorced mother reluctantly agrees to place her autistic son ina specialized school. There, his therapist begins to make breakthroughs with the child through a controversial technique known as facilitated communication. The result is that the boy accuses an adult roommate and aide at another institution of sexual abuse. A heated trial ensues which calls in to question of just how reliable the new technique really is.
