Plot Synopsis
Based on a story by Truman Capote. In 1934 Alabama, a 7 year old boy is being raised by his elderly cousins who have no experience with children..except for childlike Sook, the eldest. An eccentric spinster, she has become the boy's best friend. As they plan for Christmas they soon realize that their idyllic time together will not last long. Much to their dismay, the other cousins have decided to send the lad to military school.
