Plot Synopsis
Welcome to Homestead, where Christmas is more than just an annual tradition, it's the time people here look forward to all year long. For Homestead's mayor, Matt Larson, a handsome young widower who manages the family-owned Homestead Lodge with his sister Zoe, Christmas in Homestead is his personal passion. However, he becomes more than a little concerned that the town council has granted permits for a Hollywood movie to shoot smack-dab in the middle of the Christmas season. His precocious daughter Sophie, however, is delighted that her favorite movie star in the world will be staying right there in her family's lodge, and wastes no time letting Jessica McEllis know she is her biggest fan. Things get off to a rocky start, with production clogging up the streets and upsetting the town's holiday schedule. But both Matt and Jessica do their best to accommodate one another, and despite the fact that they are from two different worlds, they actually start warming up to one another. However, when Jessica's ex, who is also her co-star in the film, notices the spark between them, he decides to let her know in every way possible that he wants to get back together. And, everything becomes a whole lot more complicated for everybody when a photo of Jessica innocently kissing Matt is leaked to the tabloids. Matt is determined to make sure that nothing derails the town's legendary holiday festivities in the days leading up to December 25, and Sophie has a special Christmas wish she is not sharing with anyone but Santa. As Jessica gets a taste of small-town life and people who give of themselves without asking anything in return, she discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
