Plot Synopsis

In the proud military town of Pinewood, gold star widow Amanda rents a room to Master Sergeant Jim Mullins, who is recovering from a battle injury he sustained in Afghanistan, but hopes to return to active duty quickly. Amanda and Jim bond over losing loved ones in war and help one another heal as they also find joy in the holidays. The two grow closer as Jim helps Amanda plan a fundraiser for the town's struggling community center, and they even share a kiss. Though Amanda seems ready to take their relationship to the next level she questions everything when she discovers that he will deploy overseas on Christmas Eve. As Christmas and Jim's deployment date approach, she must decide if she has the strength to move on and give her heart to a proudly serving soldier.
