Plot Synopsis

In a small town in Nebraska, a carnival is laying camp and the owner is looking forward to showing off his latest attraction-- a rare, monstrous creature that is bound to rake in the big bucks. While the local pastor voices his objection, the sheriff sees no harm in a traveling carnival. But even he has second thoughts after seeing the unimaginable beast, rumored to be the Jersey Devil, rattling around in his cage. That night, when the Devil is unveiled, the crowd goes wild. So does the beast, tearing through the panic-stricken patrons in a violent, feral rampage. In the pandemonium, it disappears into the woods leaving a trail of eviscerated corpses in its wake. The Sheriff steps up to organize a solid tracking team to capture the carnivorous fugitive and enlists the help of the carny's clairvoyant, who knows more about the Jersey Devil than anyone, especially how to stop it. They must race against time to put an end to the terror and save the town.
