Plot Synopsis

At New York's JFK Airport a plane arrives from Northern Canada with wildlife photographer Donna Voorhees, who shuffles into the airport appearing ill. As she passes through a security checkpoint, a panic attack turns into an all-out physical transformation, as she turns into a giant wolf. Chaos follows as the wolf attacks, and JFK is shut down and sealed with thousands of people who are now infected with the virus. After three days of quarantine, the infected people are transported to Wards Island, New York for treatment under military supervision, led by General Chris Monning and Major Brian Hoffman. The purpose of the facility is to contain, study and cure the disease, but General Monning sees the disease as a weapon. Should they find a cure, it is to be his and his alone. Under his command, patients are secretly experimented on to test their strength and fighting abilities. In charge of finding a cure is the CDC Director, Dr. Ellen, who believes that the first person infected may hold antibodies that could cure the disease. Donna is found and her blood is tested and is found not to contain the antibodies. A confrontation follows between Hoffman and Monning, as the General orders Donna be killed. As the confrontation escalates, Donna turns into a wolf and breaks free. Her escape triggers an all out riot in the facility with all patients turning into wolves and breaking free into downtown Manhattan. Panic ensues in the streets of New York, with thousands of werewolves tearing through the city, attacking every living person. A battle rages between the dogs and the U.S. military, and the President has ordered the destruction of the city. Now, the scientists must race against time to discover the antibodies in order to save the city.
