Plot Synopsis

In 1992 Washington, a small group of back-country skiers, led by expert Jake Tanner, climb high up on Glacier Peak, one of most remote mountains in the Cascade Range. Mysteriously, the group disappears and is never seen again. Twenty years later a helicopter soars Glacier Peak and aboard is Jake's son, Brian Tanner, a U.S. Special Forces member fresh off a long tour in Afghanistan, who is determined to find out what really happened to his father. Armed with a satellite phone, automatic weapon, clips and a number of grenades, he is prepared for the worst. After being dropped off on the peak, he skis into an avalanche, but he's not fast enough to outrun it. It catches him and takes him over a cliff. His sister Nina and a team of world-class skiers and snow boarders join in a rescue mission to find Brian. With a storm moving in, they have just 24 hours to find him and reach the rendezvous point or they'll trapped on the mountain facing certain death. After combating a raging blizzard, the team finds him on the mountain alive, but now the group learns the truth about the legend of Glacier Peak. They will now have to battle their way down the mountain while avoiding massive avalanches and a beastly creature that wants them dead.
