Plot Synopsis
The story of the famous 1960s and 1970s Motown singing group as they struggled first to find fame, and later battled with pressure, egos, alcohol, illness and personal disputes. With David Ruffin as the lead singer the group became a hit factory but as the gold records kept piling up, troubles brewed and the embattled group splintered only to reunite time and again to sing the music America loved.
