Plot Synopsis
In 1934 Ottawa, Canada a rural farm couple, Oliva and Elizire Dionne give birth to five baby girls. A media frenzy erupts and the Canadian authorities see the financial potential and place the infants under government guardianship. Dr. Allan DaFoe, who delivered the Quints, soon takes over the childrens' lives, making them tourist attractions and forbidding the parents from seeing them. A legal battle ensues with the parents fighting for the right to raise their children.
