Plot Synopsis

The city of Chicago is experiencing a record heat wave and drought and is at risk for a major power failure. When three different and potentially devastating storm systems form, the worse- case scenario happens when a severe thunderstorm destroys the city's primary power generating plant. As the power outage cascades across the country causing a national blackout, it becomes a race against time to warn residents of the impending tornadoes and floods due to the Category 6 storm.
