Plot Synopsis
Created by Aaron Martin, SLASHER is a one-hour horror anthology series, with each season having its own story of rampaging serial killers leaving carnage in their wake, as their next victims fight to stay alive
Season 1, titled SLASHER: THE EXECUTIONER, is a psychological thriller that follows Sarah Bennett, a young woman who returns to the small town where she was born. Sarah's parents were murdered while she was still in the womb by this psycho called "The Executioner" (real name: Tom Winston), who ripped Sarah out of her mother's stomach. "The Executioner" got thrown in jail, but when she returns 30 years later to her birth town, Sarah finds herself the centerpiece in a series of horrifying copycat murders based on the widely known, grisly killings of her parents. As the murders escalate, long-buried secrets are revealed, making everyone around her a suspect...or a victim. Sarah finds herself questioning everything and everyone around her, including her husband Dylan, her grandmother Brenda Merritt, family friend Cam Henry and the town's police chief, Iain Vaughn. SLASHER wrapped production in Sudbury, Parry Sound and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario in October 2015, and premiered in Canada on April 1, 2016, one month after it premiered in the United States on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 9pm ET with a two-hour debut on Chiller.
In Season 2, SLASHER: GUILTY PARTY, former counselors return to the remote Canadian summer camp where they committed a crime long ago, only to find that the past isn't quite dead yet. Five years after concealing a murder, guilt-stricken summer camp counselors return in midwinter to the scene of their crime, now a utopian commune. After a body is found and a guest vanishes, both groups discover they're trapped at the camp with communication to the outside world cut off. As the list of victims continues to grow, the number of possible suspects narrows and the two groups are forced to cooperate despite mutual suspicion.
SLASHER: SOLSTICE, the third season of this anthology series, premiered on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire eight-episode season. In Season 3, apartment building residents who once ignored a victim's pleas for help are tortured by two things that never forget: a masked killer and the internet. On the first anniversary of a mysterious slaying, the masked killer responsible strikes again, butchering one of the earlier crime's eyewitnesses. Connections to Kit are revealed in flashbacks, while a couple's secret affair is exposed via social media and another slaying strikes the community. As school is dismissed for the summer, more shocking memories from the past year surface and a teacher who tries to be an ally to Saadia pays a price.
The eight-episode fourth season of SLASHER follows a wealthy, dysfunctional family that gathers for a reunion on a secluded island only to learn they'll be pitted against one another in a cruel game of life and death, all while being stalked by a mysterious masked killer. Nothing is what it seems and no one is safe as the tension -- and body count -- ratchets up. The first two episodes of SLASHER: FLESH & BLOOD dropped on Thursday, August 12, 2021 on Shudder, and a new episode debuts each Thursday through September 16.

SLASHER: RIPPER, the fifth season of the series, debuted with two new episodes on Thursday, April 6, 2023 on Shudder. A new installment dropped weekly through Thursday, May 4, followed by two episodes on May 11 for the season finale. Season 5 takes the franchise back in time to the 19th century. There's a killer stalking the mean streets, but instead of targeting the poor and downtrodden like Jack the Ripper, The Widow is meeting out justice against the rich and powerful.
