Comic-Con 2011 Day 1 Photo Highlights: TV Drama Series & Fan Faves
Stephanie Holland - July 22, 2011
Ballroom 20 was the place to be on Thursday, the first official day of Comic-con, as thousands of fans waited to get in for panels featuring BURN NOTICE, COVERT AFFAIRS, PSYCH, RINGER, GAME OF THRONES, and TV Guide's fan favorites. I spent all day in the same room, and I thought I'd share my photos to highlight each panel.
No one works the Comic-con crowd like BURN NOTICE's Bruce Campbell,
who opened with a convention-themed comedy monologue that had fans in stitches.
Forgoing his usual method of handing out money for compliments,
this year Campbell gave away T-shirts and DVDs of his TV movie FALL OF SAM AXE.

Piper Perabo's COVERT AFFAIRS made its Comic-con debut with a lively panel
that involved a lot of talk about Christopher Gorham's abs. Perhaps the most
tantalizing idea to come out of the panel was the suggestion of a three-way
crossover with BURN NOTICE and WHITE COLLAR. Photo Credit: Stephanie Holland.
The panel for PSYCH opened with a video appearance by future guest star William Shatner and
a live sing-a-long of the show's theme song by executive producer Steve Franks (center) and The Friendly Indians.

Sarah Michelle Gellar (right) answered more questions about BUFFY than RINGER since
attendees knew so little about her new series, but now you can watch a brand-new series promo for RINGER.

Though the entire cast of GAME OF THRONES were all treated like rock stars,
Jason Momoa and Peter Dinklage received the loudest applause,
while girls screamed non-stop for Kit Harrington (right) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (left).

Jorge Garcia (left) of ALCATRAZ and CHUCK'S Zachary Levi (right) talked about comic-con fandom,
watching each other's shows and what's next for their various series.

DOCTOR WHO's Matt Smith (left) was particularly excited to see the stars of
TRUE BLOOD, like Kristin Bauer (right). Photo Credit: Stephanie Holland.
