Dan Stark is a cop stuck fifteen years in the past, and young up-and-comer Jack Bailey’s do-gooder adherence to protocol hasn’t earned him many friends in the department. When the case of a stolen humidifier blows up into a massive drug smuggling case, Dan and Jack face off against the world’s top two assassins and considerable red tape from their department. Dan springs into action when his new girlfriend is kidnapped, and Jack struggles to work with his ex-girlfriend, who also happens to be the Assistant DA.

Jesse betrays Rachel and goes back to Vocal Adrenaline, and their show-stopping performance puts New Directions in a funk. After back-and-forth demoralizing pranks between the two glee clubs, Finn and Puck get jobs working at Terri’s store. Will finds a way to get out of his own funk and destroy Sue Sylvester in the process by seducing her and then breaking her heart.

Michael meets Vaughn, who tells him that the company wants to start working with him and that all his problems with their former operatives are over. Returning to his life, Michael finds Fiona and Sam right in the middle of a case of their own, trying to help a lawyer who has been marked for death by a biker gang. Michael deals with the repercussions of his absence from Madeline.

Evan fails to track down his father and HankMed’s finances continue to spiral downward. Hank helps an inventor and infomercial star known as Spencer the Spaz who continues to work with equipment despite being on medication. Jill clashes with a high-powered surgeon at the hospital who isn’t pleased with her relationship history. Hank tries to help diagnose Boris despite his desire to find a new physician.
